“Zaïraï” is a tea plant that comes from a seed and not a clone from a cutting. It is a more restrictive tea plant to grow, for example, you have to wait many years before you can start using its leaves and it can vary quite a bit from one year to the next. This explains why teas from “zaïraï” are rare, especially when it comes to century-old tea plants!
